Farm Stay Reviews

Our Casita Listed with Airbnb

Christopher-March 2023-The Alpaca Casita is an experience! We stayed with our 3 young children (18mo, 4 & 9yo). The casita was spacious and had plenty of room. There were thoughtful amenities (toys coloring books an optional high chair pack and play and complimentary alpaca cookies!). Also a tv with good Wi-Fi and the ability to use your streaming apps (and free Hulu!). There were also hygiene amenities in case you forgot something, coffee, and plenty of space to store and cook food as the remote location is a bit far to drive to any local restaurants. The Casita, property, and surrounding views are breathtaking, relaxing, and worth the cost of the trip by themselves. The tour of the farm and material making process is a wonderful experience you should schedule time for. Candace and her husband made this an amazing experience for my entire family. My oldest son is special needs and has many questions, and gets off topic frequently. They were extremely patient, friendly, understanding. Will stay again!

Debbie-February 2023-This place would be a great weekend getaway to learn about and love on the alpacas and other fuzzies! Check out the wildlife that wonder by and get a tour of the fiber mill! Thanks so much for everything Fitzsimons!

Amanda-February 2023-The farm was so comfy and had everything needed for a great stay. The animals were cute and the owners offered a tour of the place. There was a card from the owner and some fresh eggs for the morning which was a nice touch.

Steve-January 2023-Wished I could have stayed longer.

Harvest Host

Scott-March 2023-Candace and John were the absolute best hosts. The communication prior to us getting there was very clear and accurate. Their property was easy to get to off of I-40. The animals were so interesting to watch and be watched by them. It snowed in the later afternoon overnight and Candace and John were very helpful with the road conditions the following morning. We will definitely stop in on our next trip out that way.

CamperCarol-March 2023-How could anyone not smile at these delightful animal. Candace and John are gracious, generous hosts. The muountain/plains views are majestic and gorgeous. The eggs were eggsactly what I needed for dinner. Easy access to I-40 and Santa Fe. Thanks to two hard working people!

William H.-March 2023-Even though Candice and John are fairly new to opening up their beautiful farm to Harvest Hosts guests, they surely got it right. This is a magical place with the precious farm anilmals including Alpacas, Lamas, Sheep, Donkeys, Peacocks and Chickens. Lets dont forget their trusty protectors Great Perinese Smith and new partner Citori. Not only did they show us around the farm but they also took us into their fiber mill and educated us on the production process. Candice has a lovely shop offering finished woven products of all kinds as well as the alpaca threads. I had to have some of each. The site is positioned to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Comunication and acess were excellent. It really was a highlight of our trip. If in the area don’t miss this magical place.
Karen R-March 2023-We were honored to be Enchanted Mill and Ranch’s first Harvest Host! Candace and John were great hosts! They provided a nice level gravel area to park and the views of their farm were amazing. Incredible sunrise and sunset! We learned so much about their fiber mill, they spin some amazing yarn and felt. The store was super cute and we bought some yarn and gifts. But I have to say, the Alpacas were definitely the highlight! ( Smith the dog was pretty special too!) We loved meeting , petting and getting to know the animals. It’s a great place to stay and we will definitely consider staying again!
